Hugh Jackman Shares ‘Sunseeker’ Logan Teaser Image

Hugh Jackman Shares ‘Sunseeker’ Logan Teaser Image

If comic book superhero movies have a reputation for being bright, shiny and colorful affairs, then James Mangold’s upcoming Wolverine solo movie Logan appears to be dead-set on bucking that trend. Ostensibly Hugh Jackman’s final outing as the super-healing mutant with deadly weapons built into his fists (though the odds of him being tempted back for cameos are pretty good), Logan‘s early marketing has been characterized by a series of mysterious black and white photographs. Some of these images have been more revealing that others (for example, one offered a first look at Patrick Stewart’s latest portrayal of Charles Xavier, while others simply show filming locations), but all are presumably clues as to what the movie’s plot might be. While there have been heavy hints that Logan will be a road trip movie, the latest teaser image suggests it might also be a… boat trip movie? The image, shared by Jackman himself, shows the inside of a car with a newspaper clipping attached to the sun visor. The clipping is in Spanish or Portuguese and features an image of a boat, which could well be the “SUNSEEKER” referred to in the caption.SUNSEEKER. With a release date set for March, it probably won’t be too much longer before we finally see a teaser trailer for Logan – in fact, it’s likely that these teaser images (now being released more or less daily) are building up to just that. It’s also clear that at least part of the movie will take place in Texas, since an earlier teaser image had a shop sign placing it in the city of El Paso, and a car that Logan drives in the movie has Texas plates. If these images of cars and motels and gas stations are anything to go by, however, Wolverine likely has a long journey ahead of him. The question is: where will that journey end?Logan opens in U.S. theaters on March 3, 2017, followed by unannounced X-Men films on October 6, 2017, March 2, 2018, and June 29, 2018. Deadpool 2, Gambit, New Mutants and X-Force are currently in development.Source: Hugh Jackman
